Frankfort, Kentucky-- On Friday, Governor Andy Beshear said the state's death toll has risen to 77, after a night of violent storms battered his state more than 2 weeks ago.

The National Weather Service says that a strong EF-4 tornado carved a path through the state, creating major damage in the cities of Mayfield and Bowling Green.

They also reported approximately 8 tornadoes that hit different parts of the state.

Along with that, 16 tornadoes hit Tennessee, with more tornadoes hitting parts of Missouri, leaving major destruction.
